Alexis Dudley
Nursery Manager and Early Years Teacher

• BA (Hons) Education Studies and Early Years
• Paediatric First Aider
• Relax and Sing Baby Massage and Yoga Instructor

I established the nursery in 1999, following many years working within the corporate environment, working alongside the executive team and support staff,  my last position of which was working with the International and Financial Directorʼs of Adams Childrenswear.   In 1998, I felt that I had gained enough knowledge and courage to start up my own Day Nursery, providing care and education for young children. I resigned and enrolled on a childcare course, undertaking voluntary work at the Loughborough College nursery, put my business plan together and in March of 1999 Kingscliffe Day Nursery was established.

I am proud to say that I still love and enjoy the role I play in young childrenʼs learning and have been inspired over the years by the children who have attended Kingscliffe to continually adapt our environment.

In my spare time, I love to go walking with my husband Andrew and our two labradors Merlin and Agatha.

Early Years Teacher

Having been in relationship with Kingscliffe for ten years as a parent and then during the completion of my Early Years Teacher qualification I feel privileged to have been offered a formal role here. Using my qualification and experience I am here to assist the team in the effective implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage, together with future projects within the nursery and wider community. I am mum to Sebastian (10) Elias (5) and Zebediah (3) and also run a ʻplay and support groupʼ called Refuel in the community. I am passionate about working with children especially in the outdoor environment, we are a very active family and I especially love running.
